The Intermediary Cooperation Expert Group was established to further understand the various services of intermediary providers.

Having already dealt with the issue of domain names, social media, payments, transport and logistics, this study examines live event piracy.

Its aim is to contribute to a better understanding of:
• the various intermediary services that are misused in the context of hacking live events,
• the latest trends and techniques that support it, as well as the specific challenges they raise and
• existing and developing good practices through which these challenges can be addressed

Hacking of live events raises a number of specific challenges, and in particular the need for immediate action to limit the damage it causes. These actions can be implemented at different levels, from the multiple intermediary services misused by piracy actors to illegally stream live content to end users.
