On February 10th, 2023, the President of the HCO Board of Directors, Mr. P. Tsiris, represented OPI, following a relevant invitation, at the scientific event under the title “Modern Aspects of the impact of EU Law on Commercial Law” organized by the Department of Commercial and Economic Law at the Telloglio Foundation of Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

On February 9, 2023, a workshop under the title: "Copyright for Open Science" Open Access C4OS: A global perspective, was held at the Onasis Foundation. The Hellenic Copyright Organization was represented by the acting Director Mrs. Maria Dafne Papadopoulou as a speaker who cited the EU legal framework to facilitate research through exceptions and limitations.

The HCO organized a scientific event on the topic "Digital Services Act (DSA) and Copyright - A new balance in Digital Services" on Tuesday, 24 January 2023, at the Athens Bar Association’s Event Hall (16:00 - 19:30).

The HCO in cooperation with the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens are organizing a conference with the title “Recent legislative changes in copyright law: laws 4996/2022 and 4961/2022".

The conference will take place on 14 and 15 February 2023 at the I. Drakopoulos Amphitheatre of the University of Athens, 30 Panepistimiou Street, Athens, at 16:00 - 20:30.

On Monday, 23rd January 2023, an HCO representative paid a second online visit to the 3rd grade of Zosimaia High School of Ioannina.

During the visit, the HCO lawyer, Mrs. M. Sinanidou, talked to the pupils of the 3rd grade of the High School about copyright law, the importance of respecting it, with particular emphasis on the digital environment. In addition, Ms. Sinanidou talked about the HCO and the services it provides to the public.

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in collaboration with the Hellenic Industrial Property Organization, the competent body in Greece for the granting of patents and the registration of trademarks and designs, organized a seminar on December 1, 2022 on the enforcement of intellectual property rights (IPR).

The Hellenic Copyright Organization (HCO) was represented by Ms. Eva Moustaka, Jurist HCO, who presented the process of reporting online infringements of intellectual property rights and deleting websites of online stores dealing in illegal goods.

On Wednesday, November 23 2022, the HCO made the third scheduled visit to the 2nd Experimental High School of Athens for the school year 2022-2023.

During the one-hour visit, HCO representative, Ms. Maria G. Sinanidou, lawyer, scientific associate of the HCO, spoke to the students of the 3rd grade of the high school about the basic principles of copyright, the meaning and importance of respecting copyright and avoiding actions that infringe such rights, with emphasis on the digital environment.
